At Muirfield we are very lucky as well as our outdoor school we have a great indoor arena which is used all
year round. Inside we have a clubroom, kitcken, office and tack room. There are also toilets and disabled tiolets.
Outside there are super rides,up hills and through woods. There is always something happening on the farm whatever the
season. The riders have a great time going out and watching whats going on. There is always plenty to look at including
chickens, lambs, cows, calves and even a HUGE bull named Ferdinand!
We use a mounting ramp with an adjacent block to mount riders, we also have the benefit of a hoist. Both
are a safe and efficient way to mount, making things easier for the rider, helper and horse.
The arena is all wheelchair friendly and has extra support rails on all routes to entrances and exits.
There is an ample car park with marked disabled parking bays at the front of the building.
Riding sessions are all planned in advance and often have a theme such as colours or numbers, we
also incorporate times of year and special holidays like Easter, Christmas and Halloween.
Every session is structured to meet the needs of the group involved. All of our instructors think about the indiviual
rider and alot of the time we have a few things going on in one session according to their personal needs and capabilities.
